Free steak dinner!

Ok, so I ate kangaroo p[izza last night. and enjoyed a glass of Aussie wine just for you Ed. (thanks for the beer money). Tried to catch our flight to Queenstown via Auckland. PLane broke before we took off. sat in the plane for two hours before they decided to get us off and onto a new flight. so i was hungry and tired and had to wait in many long lines for new tickets and a meal voucher... but it all worked out. and here's why: free breakfast, lunch on our flight from sydney to Auckland, we missed our connecting flight... but a free hotel for the night!! a supper voucher, ride to our hotel (complete with pool), and we get into Queenstown tomorrow just before noon, plenty of time to get to our tour in enough time.

OH!! and our tent, had to be searched in NZ customs. but it passed, so we have that too!!! I was nervouse about that.

And the water in the toilets don't drain the other way... it sorta just goes down... so that's sad. but i think the water in the sinks go the other way... but I can't remember which way it goes down in canada.

so I'm a bit burnt on my shoulders... but a bit tan from my time in the hotel pool between 6 and 7-ish tonight... so that means I'll be wearing sunscrean here... nuts. I've never had to be bothered with that before.

cheers! miss you all lots.

Hey there! Sounds like an appropriately complex trip for going across the Ocean - glad you get your tent ;).

What kinds of places have you been using to make your blog posts? Paid kiosks? Net Cafés?

Glad to hear you are having an adventure -Moms worry when they read the flight schedule & see that your flight is delayed, then cancelled and the airlines & airports just report this stuff - don't explain it - my imagination goes wild! So what goes with kangaroo on a pizza? Look forward to the continuing adventures of Anne & Marcey! Stay safe.

Hello! Good to hear from you again. I really appreciate how prompt you are on updating all of us back in snowy Canada. Yes it did snow. But it's kind of nice, now it's not so blah looking everywhere. So I met a client who knows you because she is the international student development lady or something like that. So when she told me she aranges for students to go on exchanges, I asked if she knew you and she was like oh ya I remember her! Ok so I guess this shouldn't be too long. Tell Marcey she needs to update her blog! Ok well hope your tour in NZ goes well. Miss you!

Glad to hear that everything is working out so well for you guys. And I guess I forgot to tell you to always wear sunscreen!! I wore sunscreen SPF 30 all the time I when I was there and I still got super tanned... and the cloudy, cool days when I didn't wear sunscreen I still got quite burned. And 1 out of 2 ppl in Aus get skin cancer so be warned. Sorry to be such a downer but I'm glad everything is going great!! Can't wait to hear how you NZ tour went! Oh yeah, I sent you a text message on your mobile so you'll have to let me know if you received it :)
